Job Requirements:

The Role

As a New Vehicle Prep Technician, also known as a PDI Technician, you will play an important role in making sure every new vehicle is properly inspected, prepared, and ready for the showroom or customer delivery.

You will complete manufacturer required Pre Delivery Inspections, remove shipping materials and protective coverings, and verify that all vehicle systems meet factory specifications. You will also check fluid levels, tire pressure, battery condition, and other required items.

Additional responsibilities include installing factory or dealer accessories, completing software updates and manufacturer campaigns when needed, inspecting vehicles for shipping damage or defects, and completing all required documentation accurately and efficiently.

Your work will help ensure every new vehicle meets Krieger Ford and manufacturer standards before it is released for sale or delivered to a customer.

What We Are Looking For

Automotive technician experience is preferred but not required. The right person will have strong mechanical ability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow manufacturer inspection and repair procedures.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. You should also be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and maintain accuracy in a busy dealership environment. Manufacturer certifications are a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
