Hubler Chevrolet is a well-established dealership committed to providing excellent automotive service and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a skilled Used Car Technician to join our high-volume, fast-paced service department.

Job Details

  • Salary: Competitive pay with flat-rate pay plans
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN
  • Work Hours: Standard dealership hours, with potential overtime based on workload

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and service vehicle inventory for both New and Used Car Departments.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as specified on repair orders following dealership standards.
  • Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to test vehicle components and systems.
  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of any additional service requirements.
  • Provide repair estimates and collaborate with the Parts Department as needed.
  • Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and repair orders.
  • Proficient in using electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to quickly identify and diagnose vehicle problems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and work areas.
  • Possession of own automotive tools.
  • Punctual, dependable, and reliable with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow directions and established processes.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license with reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and repair procedures.
