IT Computer Support Specialist

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Information Technology department. This opportunity will allow you to work with a talented IT team while being groomed for advancement. 


Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining effective day-to-day operation of all in-house computer systems.

Oversees the maintenance of DMS, CRM, credit and e-mail servers and secondary systems as needed.

The duties for our IT Computer Support Specialist, include but are not limited to those described below. 

Essential Job Functions:
 Confidentiality: Maintains high level of confidentiality. 
 Training: Suggests training ideas for users based upon information acquired when resolving support requests. Trains users on system, changes; and provides multiple system support to our employees and clients. 
 Communication: Keeps all users well informed of system changes, enhancements and problems areas. 
 Equipment: Uses such office equipment as telephone, computer terminals, copiers and FAX machines. 
 Physical: Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Sits and stands for extended time periods. Hearing within normal ranges. Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs and balances during the installation, storage and distribution of equipment and supplies. Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. 

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:
 Performs duties assigned/applicable to Incident Tracking and Management System including but not limited to: 
 Accessing common ticketing and management system identifying and addressing support needs associated with IT support for all of our user requests 
 Password reset 
 Accept and log serve requests 
 Resolution of low level issues directly escalating other higher level issues to the appropriate vendor 
 Acts as a resource for all of our Team members 
 Develops and maintains user documentation, as directed. 
 Maintains an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high-level support to our employees. 
 Installs workstations and printers according to schedule or as requested, ensuring that cables are labeled and documented for future reference. 
 Participates in team meetings, providing input and suggestions. 
 Notifies maintenance vendor when equipment requires repair and keeps records of work as directed. 
 Ensures efficient and economical utilization of equipment and resources. Provides for safekeeping of equipment and supplies. 
 Records and mails warranties as needed on equipment. 
 Assists in moving and setting up PC equipment to different locations. 
 Utilizes technology to provide staff with a fast, accurate and secure method of gaining access to information so they can service the customer in the fastest and most efficient manner possible.

Experience: 
 One year of experience in computer-related field, preferably to include user support responsibilities. 

Skills:
 Performs dial-in maintenance on system when required. 
 Analyzes data elements required for forms, screens and calculation changes; analyzes regulatory changes and their impact on forms and other system functions. 
 Able to handle detailed assignments. 
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
 Organizational skills necessary in prioritizing workload. 

 

One or more years of previous experience in IT and Computer Support
Great attitude with high-energy personality.
Excellent customer service skills.
Professional appearance and work ethic.
Ability to work well in a process driven environment and with a dedicated team.
Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written.
