Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1- 3 years’ experience as a baker preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate desired.
  • Performs job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Prioritizes, organizes work, and follows through.
  • Must be a team player with a passion for improvement.
  • Must be able to work throughout scheduled shift.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Endurance & Mobility: Stand and walk for long periods while maintaining focus, precision, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strength & Agility: Safely lift and move heavy items (up to 80 lbs) with confidence and efficiency, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
  • Dexterity & Coordination: Demonstrate both fine and gross motor skills for precise manipulation of tools, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Visual Precision: Maintain excellent peripheral vision and near/far accuracy, crucial for intricate pastry work and presentation.
  • Auditory Awareness: Stay alert and responsive to kitchen cues, ensuring effective communication in a bustling environment.
  • Flexibility & Movement: Move fluidly—bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting—to navigate the kitchen with ease.
  • Temperature Adaptability: Comfortable working in various temperatures, from hot ovens to cold storage, ensuring safety and consistency.
  • Ingredient Handling: Confidently work with a diverse range of fresh ingredients, with no allergies or sensitivities.
  • Physical Stamina: Maintain high energy throughout the shift, managing the demands of standing, lifting, and executing tasks efficiently.
  • Standing Endurance: Ability to stand and work extended shifts in hot, noisy, and sometimes confined environments.
  • Multitasking Ability: Skillful at multitasking and thriving under pressure, consistently meeting production schedules and timelines with ease.
  • Strength & Mobility: Capable of pushing and pulling equipment of various sizes and weights efficiently and safely.
