Position Overview

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and multi-point vehicle inspections. This role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

Primary Duties

  • Perform lube, oil, and filter changes along with multi-point vehicle inspections efficiently and accurately.
  • Identify and report additional vehicle maintenance needs to management.
  • Ensure quality service by monitoring and reporting any issues with parts, processes, or procedures.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service and keep the work environment clean and safe, complying with OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction through prompt and accurate service.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • At least one year of experience as a technician's assistant or apprentice is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Report that meets company standards.
  • State inspection license is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, chemicals, and adhesives.
  • Capable of regularly lifting 100 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers for manual tasks.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching required.
  • Required vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Safe operation of equipment and moving vehicles within the work area.
