Position Overview

The Automotive Technician Apprentice will assist experienced technicians with vehicle repair and maintenance tasks, following dealer and factory standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive and growing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and execute repair orders from the dispatcher efficiently and accurately.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain required parts.
  • Save and tag parts under warranty or as requested by customers.
  • Inform the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
  • Document all work performed accurately.
  • Perform road tests and quality checks on vehicles when required.
  • Attend training classes and stay current with factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customers’ vehicles and work areas.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety and environmental compliance.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, sit, talk, and hear as required during work tasks.
Job Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Six months to one year of related technical training or experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively within a team.
