Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of pre-owned vehicles.
  • Complete reconditioning work efficiently and accurately according to dealership standards.
  • Use GM diagnostic tools and adhere to manufacturer repair procedures.
  • Identify and recommend additional service opportunities when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure timely vehicle turnaround.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment.
  • Troubleshoot customer concerns using the latest administrative and technical tools.
  • Provide courteous customer service and assist in greeting customers in the service area.
  • Stay current with technical publications and training programs.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and attach shop forms properly.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management as needed.
  • Arrive on time, ready to work, and in a clean uniform.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • GM certification preferred or equivalent dealership experience.
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with multiple vehicle makes and models; used vehicle experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical aptitude demonstrated by ASE certification.
  • Technical or trade school degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to achieve or exceed performance goals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and exercise sound judgment.
