Position Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician at Horne Hyundai, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and technical expertise. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles according to manufacturer standards while maintaining professionalism and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot customer concerns accurately using current technical and administrative tools.
  • Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism to all customers.
  • Assist in greeting customers near the Service Drive to ensure prompt acknowledgment.
  • Stay updated with technical publications, Service Comm, and Asist terminal operations.
  • Deliver safe and quality vehicle service on the first attempt.
  • Address all original customer concerns before recommending additional services.
  • Inspect vehicles to identify additional service needs according to factory recommendations.
  • Return vehicles to customers clean or cleaner than when received.
  • Participate in factory or in-house training programs to enhance skills.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and attach required shop forms to repair orders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Group Leader.
  • Maintain punctuality, readiness to work, and a clean uniform at all times.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Experience in warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on multiple vehicle makes and models.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed goals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and high energy.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions accurately.
  • Sound judgment skills.
  • Valid state driver's license with a good driving record.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical aptitude demonstrated by ASE certification is preferred but not required.
  • Technical or trade school degree is preferred.
