Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Automotive Sales Consultant to join our sales team. The successful candidate will manage all sales activities from generating leads to completing sales transactions, helping to maintain and grow our dealership's success.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and perform a needs analysis to identify preferred vehicle makes, types, and features.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operations both in the showroom and on the road.
  • Research availability of models and optional equipment using the computer database.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate sales terms, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fees, discounts, and financing or leasing requirements.
  • Inspect inventory regularly by walking the lot.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and arrange vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and familiarize them with the features and operations.
  • Attend required training sessions and department meetings.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Work Hours

This is a full-time position requiring dependable attendance aligned with dealership hours.

Job Requirements:
  • At least one year of related sales experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong sales abilities with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize and follow up thoroughly to maintain customer relationships before and after sales.
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred but not required.
