Position Overview

The Automotive Porter will perform a range of duties focused on maintaining and preparing vehicles for customer delivery and showroom display. This role requires interaction with various departments including Product Specialist, Service and Sales Managers, support staff, and customers. The ultimate goal is to ensure complete customer satisfaction upon vehicle delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the company’s Vision and Mission by leading self and assisting team members effectively
  • Remove protective coverings and identification tags from vehicles before customer delivery
  • Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, or damage; report any issues immediately
  • Clean the interior and exterior of new and used vehicles
  • Maintain neat and orderly vehicle lot, moving vehicles according to dealership display standards
  • Transport vehicles to and from storage areas as required
  • Test batteries of customer vehicles in the service area
  • Assist with building and grounds maintenance when necessary
  • Support shop cleanup and manage deliveries as needed

Work Hours

This is a full-time position with standard work hours. Specific shifts will be discussed during the interview process.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to operate automobiles, including manual transmission vehicles
  • Experience operating machinery safely
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required to inspect, clean, and move vehicles
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment tests including background check, motor vehicle report, drug screening, and credit report
