Job Description

The Assistant Parts Manager supports the Parts department by managing purchasing, inventory control, pricing, merchandising, and advertising. This role leads and motivates a team to achieve high performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily operations of the Parts department
  • Coach, mentor, and train staff to foster professional development
  • Ensure departmental goals and objectives are met
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve inquiries
  • Oversee paperwork, records, and documentation as required
  • Stay current on vehicle parts, accessories, and promotions
  • Locate parts or accessories and coordinate installation as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain storage areas
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support the department

Work Environment

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in automotive service, repair, or parts
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer and internet skills
  • Dealership experience is preferred; familiarity with Reynolds and Reynolds is a plus
  • Dependable and professional with a commitment to safety
