Steve Padgetts Honda of Lake Murray is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our team. We offer a professional work environment and a rewarding career path within the automotive industry.

Job Details

  • Salary: Competitive compensation (details to be provided during the interview)
  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Location: Irmo, SC (in-person)

Responsibilities

  • Enter and review data including invoices, vouchers, and payment requests
  • Resolve account-related issues and discrepancies
  • Balance statements and finalize accounting data
  • Process accounts payable invoices and payment requests, issue reimbursement checks
  • Match checks to corresponding invoices and payment requests after check runs
  • Enter, post, and reconcile batch transactions; research and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors
  • Prepare accounts for payments and verify data accuracy within the system
  • Maintain organized filing of accounting documents
  • Serve as cashier when necessary
  • Provide backup receptionist support during breaks
  • Break down and cost automotive deals
  • Handle daily deposits
  • Post accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Bill deals, vehicle swaps, and wholesales accordingly

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working at an automotive dealership is preferred
  • Ability to balance and manage a high volume of accounts accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Quick learner who adapts well to change and can thrive in a demanding work environment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background check, motor vehicle record check, and valid driver’s license verification
